Replacement parts for A/C systems New in the Bosch program

Bosch is expanding its workshop range for A/C service with replacement parts for A/C systems. The new range includes A/C compressors and condensers for vehicles from most European manufacturers.

A/C service expertise for over 15 years

For over 15 years, Bosch has been supporting workshops with fully automatic A/C service units and accessories for the maintenance of air-conditioning systems in vehicles. To also cover the repair needs of air-conditioning systems, Bosch is now expanding its workshop offering with A/C components.

With A/C compressors and condensers for vehicles from most European manufacturers, the new range of replacement parts initially includes two key wear parts for the air-conditioning system. In the months ahead, the range of replacement parts will steadily grow to include further A/C components.

The heart of the air-conditioning circuit

The heart of the air-conditioning circuit

The compressor is the heart of the closed air-conditioning circuit. Bosch A/C compressors reliably ensure the compression and circulation of the refrigerant in the system. They are subject to strict quality tests and available for refrigerants commonly used on the market.

The new condenser from Bosch

The condenser is an important component of the closed air-conditioning system.

As so-called heat exchangers, the Bosch condensers liquefy the hot refrigerant coming under high pressure from the compressor with the help of the airstream. They are subject to strict quality tests and available in different designs to fit the respective vehicle.

Advantages at a glance

Reliable performance

through stringent leakage, endurance and corrosion testing based on the high Bosch quality standards.

Easy installation

due to precisely fitting connections for the respective application, prefilling of the compressor with the correct amount of oil and a multilingual installation instruction.

Protected delivery

in reinforced, robust packaging for the compressor and in tight, customized packaging for the condenser.

Technology

How the air-conditioning system works:

A/C technology
Function of the air-conditioning system
Compressor
When the air-conditioning system is activated while the engine is running, the belt-driven compressor (1) starts compressing the gaseous refrigerant within the closed air-conditioning loop.
Condenser
During this process, the gas heats up and is then under high pressure going into the condenser (2), where it is cooled by the passing outside air and condenses.
Dryer
Any water or impurities introduced into the liquid refrigerant are then removed in the dryer (3).
Expansion valve and evaporator
From the dryer, the liquid refrigerant, which is under high pressure, is injected through a narrow expansion valve (4) into the evaporator (5). Here it expands and starts to evaporate already at low temperatures.
Cabin blower
The cabin blower (6) then conveys the cold air into the interior of the vehicle. The compressor sucks in the gaseous refrigerant again and the cycle starts all over again.

Parts, test equipment, and service for A/C systems

Parts, test equipment, and service for A/C systems

The Bosch portfolio already features A/C service units, oils for the air-conditioning circuit, and accessories for the maintenance of air-conditioning systems. In addition to the new A/C components, the range of spare parts for workshops also includes drive belts, cabin filters, and cabin blowers for work on modern vehicle air-conditioning systems. Furthermore, Bosch offers a qualification certificate for air-conditioning technology in its training program. Bosch thus provides parts, test equipment, and service for the maintenance and repair of air-conditioning systems from a single source.

The special function of air-conditioning systems in electric cars

Air-conditioning systems are becoming increasingly important, particularly for the thermal management of electric cars. With many years of development and manufacturing experience, Bosch has comprehensive knowledge in the field of thermal systems in vehicles. To keep engine components functioning reliably within the optimal temperature range, Bosch already offers a wide range of electric coolant pumps, solenoid valves, and engine cooling fans. In electric vehicles, the air-conditioning system will also be included in the thermal management system in the future, which was previously mainly used for interior cooling. In the future, the air-conditioning circuit will play an important role in cooling the battery, the electric motor, and the power electronics.
