We are excited to be offering the opportunity to upskill, retrain or kick start your career in the Buckinghamshire automotive sector by taking part in one of our Automotive Skills Bootcamp programmes.

Our Bosch Automotive Skills Bootcamps are being delivered in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council to enable learners to access new jobs, employers to access a new pool of talent, and the economy to thrive.

These courses would be perfect for you if you are:

Eligibility

Am I eligible for a Skills Bootcamp?

Our Skills Bootcamps are for adults aged 19 or over who are either in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break.

You must live or work in the Buckinghamshire postal area, have the right to work in the UK and meet residency requirements.

We have 3 Automotive Skills Bootcamp Programmes running over a series of weeks:

Automotive New Technologies

Designed to up-skill or re-skill auto technicians, modules include:


  • IMI Hybrid and Electric Vehicle
  • ADAS
  • Steering Geometry & Four-Wheel Alignment
  • Hydrogen Awareness
  • Essential Test Procedures

HGV Technician

Designed to up-skill auto technicians, modules include:


  • Power Train
  • Chassis Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Computer Based Diagnostics

Motor Vehicle Technician (Foundation Skills)

Designed for new entrants to the industry and a pathway into automotive apprenticeships, modules include:


  • Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • Tools, Equipment and Consumable Materials for Vehicle Maintenance
  • Wheel and Tyre Construction and Maintenance
  • Braking System Components and Maintenance
  • Work Skills

Study Requirements

What are the requirements?

You must be committed to learn, carry out self-directed independent study and attend face to face training sessions at our state-of-the-art facility in Denham.

Our skills Bootcamps are designed to be flexible, typical sessions are between 3-5 days per week over a number of weeks which is different for each programme.

How much will it cost me?

Small or medium employers (SMEs 250 or less employees) will contribute 10% of the overall cost.
Large employers will contribute 30%.
If you are unemployed or self-employed there is no cost.

What happens after?

After completing one of our Skills Bootcamps, we will work with you to find employment by supporting you up with an interview, or work with your existing employer to evidence how your new skills have supported you in your role.
